    Prime Minister Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani announced the move to develop a radical strategic plan to address the water issue, and while revealing an upcoming ministerial reshuffle, he confirmed that the government is considering establishing an independent agency to combat drugs.[/rtl]

    [rtl]Water crisis[/rtl]
    [rtl]The Prime Minister said during his meeting with a number of media outlets, “Today we are facing a global crisis regarding the issue of water scarcity facing Iraq and the region,” indicating that “solutions regarding the water issue are immediate.”

    He added, “This summer is the harshest season in the history of the Iraqi state,” noting that “the Ministry of Resources records for the first time numbers of such a decline in the reserve water reserve.”

    He continued, "The Iranian side's releases into the Karun River were large, and we were able to double the releases from Turkey 20 days before the Arba'een visit," explaining that "the government will present a radical strategic plan to address the water issue in all its aspects."

    He stressed "the need for optimal investment in water," pointing out that "there is a flaw in the management of this file." 

    He stated that "the Baghdad 2023 conference reflects the government's philosophy of managing its foreign relations."[/rtl]

    [rtl]The Prime Minister stated that "the recent American moves are a process to replace the forces present in Syria," pointing out that "the movement of bases in Iraq, which include advisors, is subject to the approval of the Iraqi government."

    He pointed out that "the security delegation's visit to Washington was successful, as we obtained important information about the locations of ISIS leaders in Iraq that were targeted. We also targeted the ISIS command center in the Anbar desert," explaining that "Iraq does not need any foreign combat forces."

    He pointed out that "the Iraqi-American Joint Committee will hold its meeting in mid-September to determine the form of the relationship with the international coalition."



    The Prime Minister affirmed, “Not agreeing to a railway connection with any country for transporting goods. The position is firm on that,” explaining that “the railway connection with Iran is for transporting passengers.” He pointed out that "there is no delay in the completion of Al-Faw Port," stressing that "the completion rate of the five Berths project in the port has reached 73 percent, that is, more than planned." He stated that "the port will be completed in 2025," noting that "the government will soon invite countries that have expressed their desire to participate in the path of development to hold a meeting in Baghdad." Infrastructure The Prime Minister pointed out that "our government vision is directed to infrastructure,

    He stated that "the Minister of Transport is discussing in Saudi Arabia the issue of railway connectivity to transport Iraqi passengers and pilgrims," ​​pointing out that "the Iraqi state is serious about putting the development road and Al-Faw port projects into practice "

    He stated that "the Grand Corridor and Silk Road projects do not have a corridor inside Iraq," pointing out that "the development road is considered the best, shortest, and least expensive for transportation and transit."

    The Prime Minister stressed that “the government is establishing industrial cities along the path of development,” explaining that “the industrial city in the Master Plan in the Al-Faw Port project is the largest in the Middle East.”

    Al-Faw Port

    He explained, “I follow the completion rates at Al-Faw Port on a weekly basis,” noting that “the Al-Faw Port and Development Road projects create a new Iraq with a diversified economy.”









    He stated that "the service effort has entered areas that service departments have not entered for years," noting that "lagging projects have been reduced to 963 projects, down from 1,453 projects."

    The Prime Minister confirmed, “40 percent of the suspended school projects have been completed,” noting that “the completion of projects to relieve bottlenecks in Baghdad will change the reality of the capital.”

    He continued, “The capital has not witnessed any project to relieve traffic congestion since the 1980s.”

    Wheat crop[/rtl]

    [rtl]The Prime Minister stated that “all the details of preparing the fertilizer process, from the contracts to the farmer, are tainted with corruption,” pointing out that “the government will review the prices received for the wheat crop next October and direct them to increase “

    He continued, “Iraq went through the most successful agricultural season in its history,” noting that “there is a reserve of wheat sufficient for a year.”

     Reforming the banking sector

    He stated that “the government gave sovereign guarantees to the private sector for the first time in the budget law,” pointing out that “the banking sector has not witnessed any reform process since 2003.”

    He continued, “The Central Bank addressed a previous decision that was not considered when it reduced the current dollar exchange rate,” noting that “Iraqi trade is now reliable and real.”



    Combating corruption.

    The Prime Minister stated that “the will to combat corruption exists and there are no red lines before any file,” pointing out that “we investigated all reports made by members of Parliament regarding file corruption.”

    He continued, "The principle of recovering money and wanted persons has become a reality and countries have begun to respond to Iraq," noting that "the corrupt feel for the first time that they are being pursued."

    He stated that "many of those wanted abroad began calling and some of them surrendered themselves," stressing "confidence in the Iraqi judiciary and its procedures."

    The Prime Minister stated that “the file of theft of tax deposits has not been neglected.



    He pointed out that “administrative reform is necessary to build the state,” explaining that “the minister is subject to evaluation in accordance with the political agreement.”



    He continued, “There is a cabinet reshuffle soon,” explaining that “more than 90 percent of the general directors have been evaluated.”

    He added, "15 agents and advisors will be exempted during this week in all ministries."

    The fourth license for mobile phones.

    The Prime Minister stated that “the fourth license will soon be presented to the Council of Ministers.”

    Kirkuk Governorate

    The Prime Minister stated that "Kirkuk is considered a symbol of brotherhood and peaceful coexistence," pointing out that "it will witness elections being held for the first time since 2005."

    He stated that "the problem in Kirkuk is political, not security," explaining that "the investigative committee to identify those who fired shots in the Kirkuk incidents is continuing its work." 

    The Prime Minister confirmed, “Arrest orders have been issued against 28 defendants who carried weapons and incited events in the governorate.”

    Kurdistan salaries

    He explained that "the budget law does not include funding for the salaries of the region's employees, but rather Kurdistan's share."

    The drug file.

    The Prime Minister stated that "drugs are the first threat facing Iraq," noting that "we are currently conducting a legal review to examine two options: either establishing an independent drug control agency or creating a special drug control agency."

    Al-Jadriya Lands

    The Prime Minister explained that “there is no person, entity or party protected if it is proven that he is involved in the Al-Jadriya Lands issue.”

    Investigations of the October 2019 Events

    The Prime Minister affirmed his “commitment to complete investigations into the October 2019 events and announce them to public opinion,” explaining that “the final report on those events is now subject to scrutiny and will be announced before the end of this year.”



    Regarding the file of salaries for employees in the Kurdistan region of Iraq, he pointed out that “the federal government is committed to its citizens in the region as a national and moral entitlement,” indicating that “the authority of the Council of Ministers is determined by granting a loan to the regional government, in order to disburse the salaries of its employees, and a decision was taken to do so in the last session of the Council of Ministers.” He explained, “The House of Representatives will host the finance ministers of the federal government and the regional government, and the language of numbers will be spoken there. “[/rtl]
