    Information / Baghdad ..
The parliamentary committee on foreign relations said on Sunday that the water crisis may cause a disaster no less dangerous than "da'ash", pointing out that there are several solutions can be used to force Turkey to sign the agreement of riparian countries, including the economic file that may be used to put pressure on Turkey.
"Turkey's establishment of its dams on the Tigris and Euphrates rivers is a disaster in Iraq and the government must resort to the international community to resolve the crisis and force Turkey to sign a bilateral agreement to regulate the brokering of the Tigris and the Euphrates," member of the committee Khaled al-Asadi said in a statement. Not to sign the agreement by Turkey will keep it acting revenues of the Tigris and Euphrates without taking into account the environmental and humanitarian conditions of neighboring countries.
"Iraq is living in a drought that has extended to these days, which requires Turkey to give sufficient flexibility to deal with the problem because it will take responsibility for any humanitarian, environmental and economic damage," al-Asadi said.
"Water is one of the biggest threats to Iraqi strategic security, and the government must take all measures to deal with this issue," he said. "The water crisis in Iraq is no less dangerous than the terrorist threat because it threatens the country's strategic security."
"Iraq does not call for the use of the water file to launch a war between Iraq and Turkey, but it is possible to resort to several options, including using the economy as a pressure on the Turkish side to sign the agreement of the riparian countries." Ending / 25 n
