    [rtl]Baghdad - Iraq Today:

The Oil and Gas Committee in the House of Representatives confirmed the intention of Saudi Aramco to invest in the oil and gas sector in Iraq, indicating that it is awaiting the start of the sixth licensing round. [/rtl]
[rtl]Committee member Ali Al-Mashkour said in a press statement, “Saudi Aramco has a tendency to invest in the oil sector in Iraq, and although it did not obtain an investment license during the fifth licensing round, it is awaiting the start of the sixth round to obtain investment opportunities.”

Al-Mashkour added, “Aramco has become a global company more than a Saudi one, and we welcome any company that works in accordance with Iraqi conditions and standards to develop the oil and gas sector as well.”

It is noteworthy that Oil Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani announced last May the agreement on Saudi Aramco's contribution to developing the Okaz gas field.[/rtl]
