The National Security Advisor, Qasim Al-Araji, received in his office the Chairman and members of the Committee for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in the House of Representatives, in the presence of the Director General of Narcotics Control in the Ministry of Interior and a number of those responsible for this file in the Chancellery. [/rtl]
[rtl]The meeting witnessed a review of the efforts of the Committee for Combating Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances in the House of Representatives and its activities related to this file, as well as discussing strengthening coordination between the National Security Advisory and the Committee regarding the implementation of the National Strategy to Combat Drugs. [/rtl]
[rtl]Al-Araji pointed out the importance of concerted efforts of the relevant institutions in confronting the drug phenomenon, which represents a new challenge no less important than combating terrorism, stressing by saying: The battle with drugs is more difficult than the battle against ISIS, as ISIS is a clear enemy in front of you and drugs are a hidden enemy, stressing the importance of developing real treatments. [rtl]A brief was also heard by those concerned in the Chancellery, the Parliamentary Narcotics Control Committee, and the Ministry of Interior, which included the most important requirements of the topics related to the drug control file, in order to complete the requirements of the national effort to combat this dangerous scourge.[/rtl]
