    Shafaq News/ A website specializing in business news revealed today, Monday, that the UAE city of Sharjah hosted the first meeting of the Gulf-Iraqi Business Forum with the participation of more than 350 prominent figures, while an Emirati economic official stated that major projects will create great job opportunities in Iraq.
    The Business Arabia website, which specializes in business news, said in a report translated by Shafaq News Agency, “The Emirati city of Sharjah will host the first meeting of the Gulf-Iraqi Business Forum, which will bring together more than 350 prominent figures from the Gulf and Iraq.”
    The website added, "The figures participating in the forum, which will be held on September 26 and 27, represent major government agencies, companies, and investment funds. The forum will serve as a platform for discussion about many Iraqi investment initiatives that address various economic sectors."
    According to the report, “The forum is organized in cooperation with the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry in the United Arab Emirates, the Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries, and the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce, and also with the support of the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries. The forum aims to enhance Gulf private sector cooperation.” - Iraq and strengthening economic relations between the two regions.
    The report explained that "the participating figures from the Gulf and Iraq represent prominent governmental parties, companies and investment funds."
    The report indicated that "the investment opportunities that the forum will address are in many sectors, including agricultural investments, food security, transportation, logistics services, education, medical equipment, and health care, in addition to renewable energy, electrical connectivity, infrastructure, housing, finance, and banking services."
    The report quoted the Secretary-General of the UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hamid bin Salem, calling on businessmen and investors in the UAE and the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to “take advantage of the broad investment possibilities that are scheduled to be presented during the first meeting of the forum,” noting that “major projects will create Great job opportunities in Iraq.
    He said, "The high-value projects that will be presented at the meeting will create great job opportunities in Iraq," noting that "in addition to presenting investment opportunities and discussing investment regulations and incentives available to entrepreneurs."
    In addition, Bin Salem said, “The first Gulf-Iraqi Forum will open new horizons and markets for economic cooperation and trade exchange between the participating countries,” noting that the forum enjoys the full support of the “Together” initiative, which is a cooperative project recently launched by the UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the United Arab Emirates Bank.
