On Tuesday, Iraqi border guard forces were able to arrest (3) foreign defendants in possession of about 11 billion Iranian tomans, which they attempted to smuggle out of the country.
A statement by the Border Guard Command stated, “Detachments of the Shalamcheh Kamark Police Station affiliated with the Kamark Police Directorate of the Fourth Region were able to arrest (3) foreign defendants in possession of a large sum of money amounting to 11 billion and 850 million Iranian tomans, which the defendants were trying to take out of the country without an official permit.” .
The statement indicated that "the necessary legal measures were taken against them and they were referred to the competent authorities."
