Today, Monday (September 25, 2023), the Ministry of Finance and Economy of the Kurdistan Regional Government began disbursing the salaries of employees in the region for the month of July.
According to a local source, "Baghdad Today", "Today, the Ministry of Finance began disbursing the salaries of employees of the Ministry of Health in the region, followed by the Ministry of Peshmerga, its formations, and the rest of the institutions, according to a schedule announced by the Ministry."
The Ministry of Finance and Economy in the region said yesterday, Sunday, in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", that "the Central Bank has deposited an amount of 250 billion dinars in the bank account of the Ministry of Finance and Economy in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq."
She pointed out that "the deposited amount is part of the process of financing employees' salaries in the region."
Employees in the Kurdistan region, especially educational and health personnel, continue their full-time strike, demanding that their July and August salaries be paid in one payment to end their strike.
