Al-Naili said in an interview with the Maalouma Agency, “The central and southern regions are almost turning into desert land due to Turkey’s policy and its use of the water file against Iraq.”
He added, "The Iraqi government has many cards that can be used against Turkey, including the economic file," pointing out that "Turkey has not implemented its aforementioned promises and that Iraq has not received its sufficient water share."
Al-Naili explained, "Turkey is using the water file as a card against Iraq to obtain political gains," stressing "the necessity of adopting a firm stance with upstream countries."
The representative of the State of Law coalition, Jawad Al-Bolani, had warned of the continued worsening of the water crisis, which may cause displacement due to the migration of residents of villages and rural areas. End 25 hours
