{Local: Al-Furat News} The Minister of Labor and Social Affairs announced today, Tuesday, setting a percentage of the distribution of housing units for the benefit of two categories of beneficiaries of the ministry’s services.
His media office stated in a statement received by {Al-Furat News} that “the latter announced that the Council of Ministers approved the recommendations of the 19th session of the National Housing Council, which include allocating 10% of the housing units constructed by the Ministry of Construction and Housing for the benefit of widows who benefit from social protection assistance, and 10% for people with special needs.” In the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs.
The Minister explained, "These decisions come within the Ministry's commitment to implementing the Social Protection Law and the Authority for the Care of People with Disabilities and Special Needs to support the most vulnerable families in society."
For his part, Ahmed Al-Moussawi, head of the Social Protection Authority, said, “The authority has prepared all its databases for the purpose of completing the fundamental procedures, according to the formula of cooperation with the Ministry of Construction and Housing.”
It is noteworthy that the coordination committee between the governorates approved last Sunday the allocation of plots of land to social protection beneficiaries.
