    Economy News _ Baghdad
A delegation from the Federal Ministry of Oil, headed by Minister Hayan Abdul Ghani, arrived this Sunday morning in the city of Erbil to discuss the resumption of oil exports from the Kurdistan Region to the Turkish port of Ceyhan.
The regional government announced this visit through its spokesman, Peshwa Hormani, in a statement yesterday. He said, “This visit came after the region’s Prime Minister, Masrour Barzani, agreed with the Federal Prime Minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani, to resolve the problems of the oil file.”
He added, "The main focus of the meetings will be the problem of oil production expenses and procedures for resuming the export of Kurdistan Region's oil," noting that "the delegation will remain in the region for two to three days."
Exports of Kurdistan Region oil through the Turkish port of Ceyhan stopped after the federal government won a ruling on March 25, 2013, which it filed before the arbitration panel of the International Chamber of Commerce in Paris.
