Baghdad/Al-Masala Al-Hadath: Former Kurdish MP Sarkout Shams al-Din called, today, Tuesday (November 14, 2023), for the implementation of a paragraph in the budget obligating the federal government to pay employee salaries.
Shams al-Din said in an interview followed by Al-Masala, “It is unreasonable for the Kurdish employee to remain without a salary, while life is almost at a standstill in the Kurdistan region and the markets are completely paralyzed.”
He added, "There is a paragraph in the budget that enables the federal government in Baghdad to pay the salaries of employees in the region if the regional government shirks its commitment."
He explained that “the ruling authority parties in the region do not want to pay employees’ salaries and transfer them to Baghdad, so that their corruption is not exposed, and they do not fulfill their commitment and hand over all revenues to the federal government, and the victim is the Kurdish citizen.”

    Baghdad today - Sulaymaniyah
Today, Tuesday (November 14, 2023), former Kurdish MP Sarkout Shams al-Din called for the implementation of a paragraph in the budget obligating the federal government to pay employees’ salaries .
Shams al-Din said in an interview with “Baghdad Today” that “it is unreasonable for the Kurdish employee to remain without a salary, while life is almost at a standstill in the Kurdistan region and the markets are completely paralyzed .”
He added, "There is a paragraph in the budget that enables the federal government in Baghdad to pay the salaries of employees in the region if the regional government shirks its commitment ."
He explained, "The ruling authority parties in the region do not want to pay employees' salaries and transfer them to Baghdad, so that their corruption is not exposed. They do not fulfill their commitment and hand over all revenues to the federal government, and the victim is the Kurdish citizen. "
Only three days ago, employees of the Kurdistan region began receiving the salaries of last August, according to a schedule published by the Kurdistan Ministry of Finance, while it is hoped that the salaries for the month of September will arrive next month, that is, at the end of the year, leaving the salaries for the months of October, second, and December, that is, the last three months of the year.
