The Iraqi Trade Bank decided to end the file of localization of salaries with the Ministry of Electricity, and to inform the ministry’s employees to find an alternative bank to localize their salaries.
The bank stated in a document issued by it, received by Al-Iqtisad News, that “based on the leading role of the Iraqi Trade Bank in supporting and financing large, medium and small commercial projects, the results of which will be reflected in the revitalization of the local economy and the planned infrastructure reconstruction and in line with the bank’s strategy of giving financing activity Commercial priority, as the bank’s management decided to terminate the localization agreements with the Ministry of Electricity, based on the third clause of those agreements, the duration of the agreement.”
He added, "If there is no desire to continue it or if it expires and is annulled, the electronic cards will continue to be valid and the employee will be treated as a regular customer of the bank without canceling them."
He continued, "We hope that your nationalized employees will be notified of their salaries at our bank regarding the change in the nationalization destination no later than 04/30/2024."
