Shafaq News/ Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Galant said today, Tuesday, that Israel is facing a multi-front war, indicating that it responded on 6 fronts out of 7.
“We are fighting a war on multiple fronts,” he said at the beginning of the Foreign Affairs and Security Committee session in the Knesset, referring to the fronts in the Gaza Strip, the West Bank, Lebanon, Syria, Iraq, and Yemen, in addition to Iran.
He also continued, "We have responded and acted on six of these fronts," adding, "Anyone who works against us is a potential target, and no one is immune."
These statements came as Israel was on alert in anticipation of any response from Iran, after Tehran threatened to respond to the killing of Brigadier General Radi Mousavi, the most senior advisor to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in Syria, in an Israeli raid, yesterday, Monday.
An Israeli official confirmed that the Israeli army is preparing for a possible Iranian response, including launching missiles from Syria and Lebanon, according to what an Axios correspondent reported.
The Israeli official also denied Tel Aviv's involvement in the killing of the Iranian general.
    Iran accuses Israel
Iran accused Israel of assassinating Mousavi with missiles that targeted his home in the Syrian capital, Damascus, after his return from the Iranian embassy. The Revolutionary Guards promised Israel to pay the price for his killing.
It is noteworthy that since mid-October, Western and regional countries have feared the expansion of the conflict in the region, especially with the entry of Hezbollah in Lebanon, the Houthis in Yemen, and Iranian-backed armed factions in Iraq into the confrontation line between Israel and the Hamas movement.
