    Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that the second package of US sanctions, due to be implemented on November 4, will not prevent Iran from obtaining a nuclear bomb, but will pressure the regime and significantly reduce its ability to finance regional terrorism, The system of the ayatollahs will fall.

    In a speech at the Jerusalem Institute for Strategic Studies, Lieberman explained that the first package of US sanctions had a significant impact on Iran, causing inflation and reducing foreign investment, the Jerusalem Post reported.

    "The second package of sanctions will have a greater impact on Iran ... The fact that Iran will not be able to finance terrorism is crucial and will negatively affect Hezbollah, Hamas, agents in Yemen and proxies in Iraq.

    However, Lieberman believed that Iran had made a political decision to eventually acquire a nuclear weapon, and sanctions alone could not force it to change its mind, although he hoped to put pressure on the regime internally.

    The defense minister also believes that the current system of ayatollahs will fall like many former communist regimes associated with the Soviet Union, but this may take some time.

    In light of that, he said: We need to deter Iran from trying to obtain a nuclear bomb, and be prepared for all scenarios.

    Lieberman reiterated his position that Israel should strike Hamas hard to achieve calm in Gaza and insisted on evacuating the Bedouin village of Khan al-Ahmar, leaving room for negotiations on the evacuation.

    It is noteworthy that Israeli leaders have repeatedly threatened to strike Hamas, against the backdrop of the march of return, which began on 30 March, which included the launch of kites and balloons fire from the Gaza Strip to Israel, and clashes between Palestinians and Israeli forces killed more than 200 Palestinians, and wounding more than twenty A thousand others.
