Today, Saturday (January 6, 2024), the head of the State of Law Coalition, Nouri al-Maliki, issued an invitation to the Iraqi army on the 103rd anniversary of its founding.
Al-Maliki said in a blog post seen by Baghdad Today: “To the men of pride and protectors of national sovereignty, I salute you with pride and pride and congratulate you on your 103rd anniversary (the Day of the Valiant Iraqi Army).”
He continued, "You have proven to the entire world that you are a school of patriotism, manhood, sacrifice, and redemption, and that you are the fortified castles at whose gates the forces of darkness and terrorism were destroyed. You were and will always remain lions in the arenas and makers of victory."
Al-Maliki added, "As we live today the founding anniversary, we call on you to always remain fully prepared and ready, in light of the grave security challenges to which our dear country is exposed."
