    [rtl]Today, Tuesday, the Ministry of Agriculture counted its financial allocations within the budget law during the current year, while indicating the preparation of a mechanism to distribute financial amounts to support farmers.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]The Ministry’s Administrative Undersecretary, Mahdi Sahar al-Jubouri, said, “The Ministry of Agriculture’s allocations within the budget for the current year 2024 amounted to one trillion dinars, and are included in the plans prepared to support the sector, both plant and animal,” according to the official newspaper.[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]He added, "He held a meeting regarding the implementation of the programs for the sector's strategy prepared according to well-studied plans, in order to contribute to solving the obstacles to its development, in addition to providing technical support to peasants and farmers for the current year."[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]He pointed out that “a mechanism will be prepared to distribute the financial amounts allocated to the Ministry within the current year’s budget to support farmers within the federal budget for the current year,” noting that “a similar amount has been allocated for each of the years 2025 and 2026 and divided into specific sections, within provisions prepared to develop the sector, both plant and animal.” ".[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]Al-Jubouri stated, “The trillion dinars allocated to the ministry will be distributed at a rate of 350 billion dinars to purchase seeds of the three highest grades, registered, basic, and certified, for wheat crops, which will be distributed among peasants and farmers at 70 percent subsidized prices that will be borne by the Seed Support Fund affiliated with the National Seed Council.”[/rtl]
     
    [rtl]He pointed out that “350 billion dinars have been allocated to purchase modern irrigation systems that will be sold to farmers at a subsidized price of 30 percent and in installments over ten years,” noting that two contracts have been concluded in this regard with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, the first to equip 475 pivotal filters of different sizes for an amount of 33 billion dinars, while The value of the second contract is 100 billion dinars, which is related to the purchase of 1,400 filters, which will be prepared soon, in addition to facilitating procedures for the private sector with the aim of importing fertilizers without licenses, or purchasing them from the southern factories affiliated with the Ministry of Industry.[/rtl]
