    The Investigation Department of the Integrity Commission confirmed today, Monday, that it had monitored an exaggeration and waste of more than (35,000,000) million dollars at the Dhi Qar Oil Company and a number of departments of the Ministry of Electricity in the governorate.

    The department stated in a statement received by Alsumaria News, “The Dhi Qar investigation office team revealed an exaggeration in the estimated cost of the contract for the project to construct and maintain the Gharraf oil field warehouses,” indicating that “the contract was concluded by the company with an Emirati company in the amount of (27,000,000) million dollars, despite The estimated cost of the project does not exceed (12,000,000) million dollars,” adding that “the team noticed an exaggeration amounting to (18,000,000) million dollars in the contract for supplying oil pipes and casings for the Al-Gharraf field concluded between the Dhi Qar Oil Company and a Malaysian company.”



    She added, "The company's purchasing committee wasted an amount of (37,795,000) million dinars, in the process of purchasing photocopying equipment, printing presses, printers, and archive equipment from a private company from the local markets at double prices, in addition to an exaggeration of approximately (52,000,000) million dinars in purchasing a medical waste incinerator and three basins." .

    She continued, "The team revealed a waste of public money in equipping an electrical generation station for the benefit of the Or General Company in the amount of (2,000,000) million dollars and not putting it into service, despite more than ten years having passed since it was received," pointing to "setting the priorities for purchasing furniture for the office of the station manager." Dhi Qar Electricity, the vehicle belonging to the General Directorate of Electrical Energy Production in the Southern Region, amounted to (99,000,000) million dinars, due to an exaggeration in prices, and in the Nasiriyah Thermal Power Station, the team confirmed the existence of violations of the technical specifications in the process of purchasing (100) “reverse osmosis” cells for an amount of ( 70,000,000 (million dinars).
