Today, Monday, the government media team announced the results of the digital transformation among state institutions, while confirming the readiness to begin the second phase of the digital transformation system.
The spokesman for the government media team, Haider Majeed, said in an interview with the Iraqi News Agency, followed by Al-Iqtisad News, that “the government’s directions focused on comprehensive digital transformation, in order to simplify government procedures, reduce time and bureaucracy, and eliminate the process of forging official documents,” indicating that “the file "It receives the direct attention of the Prime Minister."
He explained, "The number of official agencies that operate the government postal system has reached (285) institutions between a ministry and a directorate in various sectors, and the work in them is managed by more than (500) employees, while the number of documents circulated electronically has reached more than (500) thousand."
He pointed out that "the Information Technology Department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers has reached advanced stages in preparation for launching the second phase of the system, which is linking entities not affiliated with a ministry, and then moving to the third and final phase, by connecting the governorates, to complete the official system by linking it to the government network." The security is impenetrable, and is monitored periodically by the Secretary-General of the Council of Ministers.”
Majeed stressed that “this service allows documents to be exchanged between all official institutions electronically,” noting that “the Information Technology Department has begun placing watermarks on the documents, which carry a “code” for each employee, in order to eliminate the process of leaking official documents or circulating them illegally. unofficial".
He continued, "The Information Technology Department in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers supervised the system, in direct coordination with the Prime Minister's Office and the Ministry of Communications."
