Today, Monday, Representative Ali Niama revealed the fate of the draft laws of the previous sessions.

In an interview with Al-Maalouma, Nimah said, “Parliament is an important legislative institution in the Iraqi scene and has succeeded, despite the challenges, in legislating a large number of important laws that support building the state and its institutions over the course of about 20 years.”
He added, “The draft laws that were removed from previous sessions were withdrawn by the government to make changes and address some points,” pointing out that “the Council’s committees with all their titles are effective.”
He pointed out that “dozens of important laws are currently being discussed in order to complete the principles of voting on them in accordance with the controls.” Pointing out that "deciding the position of Speaker of the House of Representatives is important in order to advance legislation according to the paths and in a way that serves the public interest."
The House of Representatives has approved hundreds of laws over the past years that address various files and issues and support state building.
