a member of the Parliamentary Health and Environment Committee, Jawad al-Moussawi, revealed, on Wednesday, the legislative position of three laws that are being approved for the remainder of the current session of Parliament.
Al-Moussawi told the official news agency, "The committee held a meeting to discuss three important laws, including the law of the health professions, the law of the Medical Technicians Syndicate and the amendment of the owners," noting that "the law of health professionals has been made some amendments to raise it to the second reading."
He added, "The law of the Medical Technicians Syndicate has been completed and submitted to the Presidency of the House of Representatives for inclusion on the agenda of the upcoming sessions for a first reading," explaining that "the two laws include legislation for a union for health professionals and medical technicians to organize the work of the two important segments and preserve their rights."
Al-Moussawi added that "the committee also discussed the amendments to the Owner's Amendment Act to be submitted for the second reading, and tables were added that include all the titles and terms of reference of the Ministry of Health and included in the second reading, and it is hoped that it will be read again during the coming weeks in the remaining sessions of the parliament's life."
He noted that "the aforementioned laws will hopefully be approved for the remainder of the parliament's life when the sessions are completed." Ended 29/R77
