Planning: The population will keep pace with global technological technologies

The Strategic Planning and Federal Service Committee in the House of Representatives reported that the general population and housing census will keep pace with electronic and technological technologies in the world.
The Vice Chairman of the Committee, Dr. Muhammad Al-Baldawi, said in an interview with Al-Sabah: “The general population census, with its developmental, environmental, social and economic importance, came this time free of politics, so there is no apprehension or fear, and it is not the census that was mentioned in the text of Article 140 of the Constitution.” Rather, it went towards development.”
He added, "The most important terms that some people are concerned about are nationalism and sectarianism, the fields of which were removed from the electronic form. Its importance lies in the absence of a solid and accurate database for 30 years. We relied on estimation processes, statistical analysis, and spatial statistical modeling." Al-Baldawi stressed that “the census keeps pace with electronic and technological technologies in the world, by conducting a comprehensive census from north to south that goes beyond regions, nationalities, and sects, and will provide a fast and solid database that can be quickly analyzed and utilized.”
He explained, “The most important problem facing the census is the delay in analyzing this data and exporting it to the beneficiary, which takes 5-6 years, which is considered a major problem.”
Al-Baldawi downplayed “the concerns of the work of four companies in this census,” indicating that “each part of them will have a specific activity, and is supposed to be monitored by the security services, such as displaying existing applications, the process of communication and data delivery, and the servers are located in Iraq, and there is no export outside the country.” Rather, the entire process will be within the country and will be highly secured, and the applications that will be used in the process of collecting and sending data will be closely followed by the security services, intelligence,
and military intelligence.”
