[size=52]The Federal Minister of Commerce meets with the head of the Kurdistan Regional Government representative office in Baghdad[/size]
[size=45]The Federal Minister of Trade, Mr. Atheer Daoud Al-Ghurairi, met in his private office today, Thursday, June 13, 2024, with Mr. Fares Issa, Head of the Kurdistan Regional Government Representative in Baghdad.[/size]
[size=45]During the meeting, they discussed strengthening relations and coordination between the Ministry and the Representation on the one hand, and the Ministries of Federal Trade and the Kurdistan Region on the other hand, and ways to overcome the obstacles to bilateral relations.[/size]
[size=45]In another aspect of the meeting, the process of marketing the wheat crop that began a few days ago in Iraq was discussed, and the mechanism for disbursing the region’s farmers’ dues without delay, as well as how to address the problems facing the trade aspect between the Kurdistan Region and the governorates that are not organized into a region.[/size]
[size=45]The Minister thanked the farmers of Kurdistan and the institutions concerned with marketing wheat in the region for their cooperation with the Ministry to secure basic food supplies for citizens.[/size]
[size=45]For his part, the head of the Kurdistan Regional Government’s representation in Baghdad thanked the ministry’s cooperation in receiving wheat from the region’s farmers, stressing the need to support this vital sector in the public interest.[/size]
