    Baghdad Today - Baghdad
Today, Sunday (June 30, 2024), the Parliamentary Finance Committee identified the ministries that spend the most on their allocations according to the plan, and what is allocated to them within their annual budget.
Committee member Moeen Al-Kadhimi told Baghdad Today, "The ministries that spend the most money allocated to them within their annual budget are the service-oriented ministries that have various projects, as well as the security ministries that have arms contracts and others, and spending in them is according to what is planned in the budget law as approved by the Council of Ministers."
Al-Kadhimi stated that, “At the end of each year, the Parliamentary Finance Committee reviews what has been spent in all ministries through the final accounts, and there is follow-up and oversight of these expenditures in coordination and cooperation with the Financial Supervision Bureau, for fear of any waste of public money, and knowing what money was spent and on what basis.” Projects and how much money the ministries have left, so that they can be recycled in their next annual budget.”
Allocations and investment projects are the most common aspects and paragraphs in the annual budgets that are not actually spent as planned and in accordance with the allocations allocated in the budget.
