     The Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs announced, on Monday, the inclusion of insured workers in the health insurance law. 
    The Director General of the Retirement and Social Security Department at the Ministry of Labor, Kholoud Al-Jabri, said in a statement reported by the official news agency, and reviewed by "Al-Eqtisad News", that "a new batch of those registered in the social protection network will be registered in health insurance," indicating that "approval has been given to contract with a private company to provide health insurance for insured workers." 

    She added, "The law will see the light in the coming months and will be announced." 

    For his part, the Director General of the Health Insurance Fund at the Ministry of Health, Ali Ahmed Obaid, told the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that "the Social Security Authority has worked to complete the registration procedures for those covered by health insurance from the social care network for the first phase, amounting to more than 133 thousand, and the second phase reaches 252 thousand." 

    He explained that "coordination has been made with the National Data Center in the General Secretariat of the Council of Ministers to register all those insured by health insurance within the first and second phases."
