    Kholoud Al-Jabri, Director General of Retirement and Social Security in the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs, announced the granting of 100,000 dinars Eid to insured workers, while confirming its quest for the pension salary for workers to be equal to the government pension.
    Al-Jabri said, in a televised interview, followed by "The Information" agency, that "the term worker is applied to everyone who works in the private sector," noting that "everyone who registers in the database of the Retirement and Social Security Department has a pension."
    She added, "The number of insured workers is approximately 600,000," stressing that "there are companies that are still not registered in the Insurance Department."
    And she continued, "The financing of the Department of Retirement and Social Security is through deductions from workers, as well as from real estate and rents affiliated with the department, and there are also investments that the department entered into, such as housing complexes and others."
    She pointed out that "the salaries of the Social Protection Authority are from the government and not from the Social Security Fund," noting that "the Social Security Fund is linked to insured workers only."
    She explained, "The retirement is calculated so far according to the old law," noting that "the pension salary so far has not reached the required level."
    She went on to say, "We granted 100,000 Eids to workers insured from the Social Security Fund," noting that "as a minimum, the worker's salary is calculated from 350 to 450 thousand."
    And she indicated, "We aspire, with the new law, to have the pension salary for insured workers equal to the government pension." Ended/25
