Baghdad Today - Baghdad
The leader of the Coordination Framework, Issam Shaker, warned today, Wednesday (September 25, 2024), of what he called the "abnormal paradox" that may have among its goals the security of Iraq.
Shaker said in an interview with Baghdad Today, "With the tension of events in the Middle East and the persistence of the Zionist entity in its crimes against civilians in Palestine and Lebanon and the fall of thousands of martyrs and wounded, the process of releasing more hardened terrorists from the prisons of the SDF in Syria is taking place in an undeclared manner, noting that" more than 1,000 terrorists were released during the months of August and September."
He added, "What is happening represents a strange paradox and indicates that there is a plan to create great chaos by reviving ISIS again in some Syrian cities and its direct impact on the Iraqi border strip, stressing that "Washington is playing with the Syrian terror card at the present time, which includes the largest human reservoir of extremists in the world."
Shaker pointed out that, "What is happening in Syria is not far from the bloody events in Lebanon and Palestine, and it is a card that America is waving, and the recent tweet by the American ambassador about security threats is a veiled message about the possibility of harming Iraq's security if the interests of America and Israel are exposed to danger."
He continued, "No matter how intense the sacrifices of the axis of resistance are, they cannot be destroyed because it is a thought that is nourished by the names of tens of thousands of martyrs over many decades, and this fact must be realized by Washington and the rest of the Western capitals that constitute the greatest supporter of the occupation's survival in Palestine."
The heavily guarded Al-Hawl camp, supervised by the Syrian Democratic Forces, houses about 50,000 people, down from 73,000. The majority of the camp’s residents are ISIS women and children, which raises fears of the birth of a new terrorist generation.
In turn, the leader of the Coordination Framework, Issam Al-Kriti, confirmed that the war with the fourth generation of terrorism is inevitably coming.
Al-Kriti told Baghdad Today on Monday (August 19, 2024), "We confirmed in 2006 that Al-Qaeda is nothing but the second generation of a plan to stir up chaos in the Arab and Islamic region by international circles, and we predicted the emergence of the third generation, which is ISIS and what happened in 2014."
He added, "It appears that what is happening are advanced scenarios for countries through the use of extremism as a geopolitical card to preserve their interests, weaken countries and tear apart the unity of their components."
He continued: "The Syrian Al-Hol camp currently represents the fourth generation of extremism, and America and several Western countries are involved in establishing it for known purposes. The war with this generation is inevitable because we are facing an environment that currently embraces more than 15,000 individuals, whose ages are less than 30 years, and this must be paid attention to by strengthening border security."
He pointed out that "what we fear is not the Al-Hol camp, but the camps and areas that embrace extremist thought in secret, which are similar to active sleeper cells," noting that "terrorism has diminished in its capacity, but it has not ended, in light of the presence of those who feed it with money and weapons from countries and organizations whose interests share in keeping the region unstable."
Political and security circles in Iraq fear that ISIS in Al-Hawl camp will be used by America as a card to destabilize the security situation again.
Thousands of ISIS members were transferred to Al-Hawl camp after it was defeated in Syria in March 2019, ending its control over large areas of Iraqi and Syrian territory.
