    The Supreme Judicial Council signed a memorandum of understanding with the Institute of International Law and Human Rights to support the work of judges and Council employees.
    The media center of the Supreme Judicial Council stated in a statement received by "Baghdad Today", today, Wednesday (October 16, 2024), that "the head of the Judicial Supervision Authority, Judge Laith Jabr, signed, yesterday, Tuesday, the memorandum of understanding, representing the Judicial Council, within the scope of cooperation between the two parties, which includes several topics, the most important of which is developing and enhancing the capabilities of the courts, including criminal and investigation courts."
    For his part, the head of the Judicial Supervision Authority stated, according to the statement, that "the memorandum of understanding will include providing logistical support for many issues related to the exchange of expertise, analysis of studies in investigation matters, and providing evidence in cases of genocide and crimes against humanity in which the people were victims of terrorist gangs, led by the terrorist entity ISIS, in addition to supporting and developing criminal and investigation courts using video conferencing technologies."
    He added that "the memorandum will open new and fruitful horizons for building an integrated relationship between the judiciary and the Institute of International Law and Human Rights."
