An Iraqi delegation arrives in Aqaba for adoption in commercial investments

The
General Manager of the company arrived to trade, grain trade Ministry
engineer Hussein Ibrahim at the head of a delegation to Aqaba port for
readiness and its ability to absorb Iraq imports of various types of
grain estimated at millions of tons.
The Director General said

planning to ensure the transfer of these imports of grain via truck to
the Iraqi territories to ensure that their accumulation in the port.
He
said Aqaba port today, one of the most important ports in the region
which many countries in the region especially the Republic of Iraq,
where there is an alternative route for maritime traffic in the region
following the closure of the Syrian ports through the use of the port of
Aqaba.

transaction handling in the port of Aqaba by the year 2013 than the
achievements over the past years, noting at the same time that the port
is currently handling traffic increase, both in terms of the reception
of ships carrying cargo or cruise ships, in addition to the movement of
containers.

Government for the possibilities of Aqaba port to a direction to
transfer part of the Iraqi Government imports to the port of Aqaba, to
increase and enhance co-operation between the two countries and to
alleviate the pressure on the Iraqi port of Umm Qasr, especially in
light of the Iraqi port of cruise ship traffic in the summer, the
indicators and figures in the port of Aqaba, he qualified and capable of
receiving a large part of the cargo and the Iraqi imports, particularly
in the near The Jordanian border from a number of Iraqi provinces which
means low transport cost and feasibility.
