Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, called the politicians to stop launching provocative sectarian statements.
He stated to IraqiNews.com “Among the plots set to arouse sectarian sedition in Iraq, there are attempts to target mosques in specific areas by terrorism, exploiting the tensed political stances and the sectarian statements.”
“The attempts to arouse sectarianism will not be successful as we are confronting them with firm stance,” he added.
“All the politicians must hold their responsibilities to consolidate national unity,” he mentioned.
“We instructed the security forces to intensify the security measures around the worship places in all the provinces and to confront any sectarian provocation,” he concluded.
