Shamkhani stressed the strategic nature of the Iranian-Russian cooperation in the fight against terrorism in Syria.
The Iranian official's remarks came in response to a question about reports of the use of Russia's atmosphere and one Iranian airports for strikes to terrorist sites in Syria.
