Arab League welcomes the exit of Iraq from Chapter VII

Arab League welcomed the decision of the Security Council to lift the sanctions and terminate the measures imposed on Iraq under Chapter VII, stressing that the decision will restore Iraq's full sovereignty and international status in the natural surroundings, regional and international levels.
The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Nabil Elaraby, in a press statement yesterday (welcome Security Council resolution No. 2107 on the lifting of sanctions on Iraq and out of the provisions of Chapter VII), indicating that (the decision came as a result of cooperation between the governments of Iraq and Kuwait to address the outstanding issues including the issues of missing persons and re- Property and the National Archives and financial compensation to Kuwait), and stressed that the Arab (resolution will have a significant positive impact on the promotion of the Kuwaiti-Iraqi relations, and would restore Iraq's full sovereignty and international status in the natural surroundings, regional and international).
