Deputy: new amendments to the amnesty law

BAGHDAD / The parliamentary legal committee revealed on Sunday the new changes to the amnesty law. Committee member Salim Shawqi said in a press statement today: "The general amnesty law began earlier last year and became effective and the formation of committees and released many of those covered by it." He added that "Prime Minister Haider Abadi objected to the law later and sent a second amendment to the parliament, which is hoped to be legislated in the next sessions." "Abadi wanted to exclude the crime of abduction in full from the general amnesty, as well as the membership of terrorist organizations and to judge fraud from the director general and above, they will not be covered by the law according to the new amendment.
