    The Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, arrived in Baghdad on Saturday for an official visit. The visit is to include Erbil.
    "The Secretary-General of the Arab League Ahmed Aboul Gheit arrived in the afternoon, to the capital Baghdad on an official visit."
    And the visit of Abu Ghait aims to support the chances of resuming the dialogue between Baghdad and Erbil to overcome the obstacle of the referendum declared by the Kurdistan region of Iraq planned to be held on 25 September.

    [ltr]Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi discussed on Saturday with Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit the political and security developments in Iraq and the region. Aboul Gheit affirmed the university's keenness on Iraq's unity and stability. 
    "The Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi received at his office the secretary-general of the Arab League, Mr. Ahmed Aboul Gheit and the accompanying delegation," a statement from the office of Al-Abadi received a copy of it. "The meeting discussed" the developments of the political and security situation in Iraq and the region, Terrorism, and the victories of terrorist gangs. "[/ltr]
    [ltr]For his part, Arab League Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit praised "the victories achieved by the Iraqi forces against the terrorist gangs," stressing "the university's keenness on the unity of Iraq and not raise any problems that destabilize its security, stability and unity and focus on completing the liberation of its territory and adopting the principle of dialogue and adherence to the Iraqi constitution To resolve any problems.
