[ltr]A young man who lives in New York City has been jailed for 18 years by a US court after pleading guilty to plotting to help organize and lobby a federal officer.[/ltr]
[ltr]John Marzuli, a spokesman for federal prosecutors, said the verdict on Monroe Omar Saleh, 22, was issued by Judge Margo Prodi in Brooklyn.[/ltr]
[ltr]"Mr. Saleh sincerely regretted what he did," said Deborah Coulson, Saleh's lawyer, "he is relieved that he has put it behind his back and is ready to make up for it."[/ltr]
[ltr]Saleh lives in Queens, New York City, and holds US citizenship and pleaded guilty in February 2017. He admitted he helped a person named Nader Saadeh, who lives in New Jersey in 2015, to travel and accompany him to John F. Kennedy Airport. Kennedy International Airlines plane to Jordan where he was arrested later.[/ltr]
