[ltr]US President Donald Trump and German Chancellor Angela Merkel have agreed that the UN Security Council resolution calling for a 30-day ceasefire in Syria should be implemented immediately by telephone.[/ltr]
[ltr]"The two agreed on the need for the Syrian regime and its Russian and Iranian allies to abide by the immediate and full implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2401 (2018)," a spokesman for Merkel said. "This resolution calls for an immediate ceasefire in Syria."[/ltr]
