Revolutionary Guards: Enemies will face Saddam's fate if they attack Iran
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard said that those who called them "enemies" would face the fate of Saddam's regime in the event of "aggression" against his country, describing the US administration as a "criminal regime and breaking the covenants."
"The enemies will not meet in the event of aggression against Islamic Iran other than the fate of the former regime of Saddam," the Guards said in a statement issued on the occasion of the anniversary of the liberation of the city of Khorramshahr during the Iran-Iraq war.
He added that "this anniversary is a national day of resistance, sacrifice and victory achieved by the Iranian people in the face of threats and conspiracies woven by enemies and a day to overcome the challenges and problems and obstacles facing the country."
