Shafaq News/ On Friday, the President of the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, Nechirvan Barzani, expressed his happiness at attending the inauguration of Gulf 25 in Basra Governorate, southern Iraq.
Barzani wrote on his Twitter page; "I was pleased to be present today at the opening ceremony of the 25th Gulf Cup in beloved Basra."
He continued, "I congratulate our dear people in Basra, Al-Fayhaa, and all of our people, for hosting this important sports tournament."
Barzani added; "I am proud of this Iraqi achievement, and I welcome the countries participating in the tournament, with my sincere wishes for its success."
