The implementation of projects in accordance with safe international specifications requires interaction between trade union institutions and various ministries and agencies so that the outcome will be housing projects with international specifications, which will distance citizens from their fears about the inconsistency of buildings of different uses, at a time when Iraqi engineering expertise can address 50% of economic problems within a short period.
The head of the Iraqi Engineers Syndicate, Zulfiqar Hoshi al-Maksousi, said in an interview with "Al-Sabah": "Iraq has the best engineering expertise in the world that can contribute to the implementation of qualitative projects in accordance with international specifications," pointing out that "the Iraqi engineer left a mark in all parts of the globe." This is evidence that the country has expertise that can reach international levels of implementation.
Al-Maksousi added, "The union has plans that can contribute to containing 50% of the problems afflicting the national economy through the advancement of industrial and agricultural production, but it requires the cooperation of the concerned authorities, as it needs a sincere will to implement them in the productive and service sectors that have declined despite the existence of the elements for the advancement of these sectors".
He pointed out that "the directions announced by the government through its program received great attention from the approved consulting offices, and prepared plans that can implement most of the aspects of the government program, and this matter saves time and effort, as well as large sums of money for the state treasury allocated for bringing in foreign expertise," pointing out that " Foreign expertise is necessary in some aspects of the work, when there is advanced technology that is used in the implementation of the project.
And he hinted that "the Iraqi engineer needs the opportunity and confidence to be the criterion in the completion of quality projects, especially since some of the projects that are implemented in which the local engineer excelled by manufacturing important parts of the connecting sections in the bridges that were implemented in more than one place inside the country."
Al-Maksousi stressed that "the licensed consulting offices possess the expertise that makes them implement integrated designs for all projects in all sectors, which requires that there be cooperation between these offices and municipalities in various regions of the country to assume the responsibility of planning and supervision so that we can obtain quality projects that suit their life span," pointing out He pointed out that "the country needs solid projects, and this matter requires parties that bear responsibility for implementation."
Regarding investment projects, Al-Maksousi said, “Investment companies must cooperate with licensed consulting offices, and the efforts of the offices must be approved by another consulting office, after which the executing company adopts them. It is true in the world of business around the world."
He explained that "the union has plans to address traffic jams by developing roads and bridges and developing intersections, by adopting short, medium and long-term solutions."
