Shafaq News/ The Prime Minister, Muhammad Shia' al-Sudani, presented, on Wednesday, a project to amend the Iraqi constitution to the President of the Republic, as he is the "patron of the constitution".
Al-Sudani's media office stated to Shafaq News agency that President Abd al-Latif Jamal Rashid received the Prime Minister's advisor for constitutional affairs, Hassan al-Yasiri, and during the meeting, the Prime Minister's project to amend the constitution was presented.

And he indicated that Al-Sudanese desires coordination and cooperation between the presidencies of the republic and the government to adopt the project, hoping to coordinate later with other authorities.
Since the vote on the general constitution in late 2005 until now, many political blocs, parliamentarians, and specialists in constitutional and legal affairs have made many observations on a number of constitutional articles. Calls are heard from time to time by various parties to rewrite the constitution, amend it, delete some of its articles, and add others.
