Shafaq News/ The Federal Ministry of Oil announced, on Sunday, that the Undersecretary for Distribution Affairs, Laith Al-Shaher, met with a delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government, which included a number of officials.
According to a statement issued by the ministry today, this visit comes within a series of meetings conducted by the region's delegation with officials in the Ministry of Oil to discuss and review issues of common concern, especially the outstanding problems between the center and the region regarding the oil and energy file.
The meeting was attended by a number of officials of the relevant departments at the Ministry's headquarters.
The Ministry of Oil affirmed its commitment to managing, developing, and preserving the national wealth, in accordance with the constitution, laws, and instructions in force, and in a way that benefits the Iraqi people in all its components.
The negotiating delegation of the Kurdistan Regional Government arrived yesterday evening in the capital, Baghdad, to resume dialogues with the aim of resolving differences and outstanding issues with the federal government.
