    <p style="text-align: left;"><p style="text-align: left;"><p style="text-align: left; unicode-bidi: embed; direction: ltr;" class="MsoNormal">Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) MP Jawad al-Hasnawi, member of the parliament Services & Reconstruction Committee revealed the intention of the majority of the political blocs to give larger powers to the new governors post resuming the parliament sessions.
    Hasnawi told Iraqi News (IraqiNews.com) “The second amendment for the Provincial Councils law is not ratified yet and there are intention to provide further powers to the governors, but other than the chairmen of the Provincial Councils as the job of the PCs is legislative and to issue the regulations and instructions that run the governorates’ work rather than to legislate the laws for is the parliament’s specialization.”
    “The authorities should be provided to the governors to allow him to contract with world companies so as to push the development forward,” he stressed.
