Shafaq News / At least nearly 30 people were killed and 40 others were injured by a bombing that targeted a popular coffee shop southern Kirkuk.
“A roadside bomb exploded on Friday evening, inside the coffee shop where the young people gathered in Wahed Nesan area that resulted in the death of 30 people and the injury of 40 others,” A security source told “Shafaq News”.
Violent attacks took place in Kirkuk over the past ten years continuously, killing by dozens of victims.
Kirkuk (250 km north east of Baghdad) is one of the most disputed areas between Baghdad and Erbil.
A mix of Kurds, Arabs, Turkmen and Christians live in Kirkuk.
