    He congratulated the head of the Supreme Judicial Council , Judge Medhat al - Mahmoud, on Sunday, chairman of the Federal Cassation Court Judge ultra Zidane , who will assume the presidency of the Supreme Judicial Council under the law passed by Parliament last Thursday. 
    Zidane to that pledged to maintain the independence of the judiciary and the administration of justice. 
    The House of Representatives voted Thursday, the Supreme Judicial Council majority , the law in a quiet session, and that the House of Representatives has broadened the powers of law after its approval. The opponents of the law (range), recently, that the legislation allows the parliament, and leaders of the blocks from behind, put hands on the judiciary, and threatens to beat up the principle of separation of powers and independence. 
    Article (2 / I) of the Act states that the Board shall consist of the President of the Court of Cassation Alathadah- president, and Vice - President of the Federal Court of Cassation - the members, and the membership of the chief prosecutor and head of the judicial oversight body and the heads of the Federal Courts of Appeal and the chairmen of the judiciary in the provinces. 
    After the publication of the law in the Official Gazette, will replace Judge ultra Zidane, who holds the presidency of the Federal Court of Cassation Currently, the place of Judge Medhat al - Mahmoud, at the head of the Judicial Council, the according to Article (2 / I) of the Act , which states that the (Supreme Judicial Council is composed of President of the Federal Court of Cassation, and the vice - presidents of the Federal Cassation Court, the chief prosecutor, the head of the judicial oversight body, and the heads of the Federal courts of appeal, and the chairmen of the judiciary in the provinces). 
    And canceled the new legislation, which includes 11 articles only, the Coalition Provisional Authority Order (dissolved) No. (35) for the year 2003, it is working with the judiciary for more than a decade. 
    A statement from the judiciary, received a (long - Presse) a copy of it, that " the head of the Supreme Judicial Council , Judge Medhat al - Mahmoud , received the President of the Federal Court of Cassation Judge ultra Zidane in the presence of a major prosecutorial and judicial oversight body device." 
    The statement added that "Mahmood congratulated the President of the Federal Court of Cassation issuance of the Supreme Judicial Council , who was appointed head of the Supreme Judicial Council Act and wished him Muwafaqiya in his new mission." 
    For his part, Judge ultra Zidane confirmed, according to the statement, "his commitment to the march of the judiciary over the past years , " adding that it will maintain the independence of the judiciary and the administration of justice in the country on the approach that was pursued by the Supreme Judicial Council since its inception until today, especially since the head of the Supreme Judicial Council appointed was involved in the judicial process of emerging. " it is 
    noteworthy that judge Medhat al - Mahmoud was appointed president of the Federal Supreme Court in 30/3/2005 in addition to assuming the presidency of the Supreme judicial Council.
