BAGHDAD / morning the
Legal Committee of Parliament considered a draft provincial and district councils election law, as well as discuss the proposed amendments to the General Amnesty Law.
A statement of the Information Office of the Parliament, received «morning», that «Legal Committee discussed during a meeting yesterday chaired by Committee Chairman Muhsin al - Sadoun, a draft provincial and district council elections law, especially the academic achievement of the candidate and the old system of electoral lists».
The Committee decided according to the statement, to defer consideration of the remaining paragraphs in the draft law to the next meeting, to mature the ideas and proposals submitted by the members of the committee.
He added that «meeting discussed the first draft amendment to the law of amnesty sent by the Government Act, it was agreed to invite judges specialized in the application of the Amnesty Law to listen to their views, in order to reach the final proposals within the Commission, on amendments to the General Amnesty Law».
The statement noted, that « the Committee considered a draft of the Federal Court Act, as well as other laws listed within the table
