Baghdad/ Iraq TradeLink: Iraqi Industry Minister Mohammed Shia' al-Sudani confessed that corruption was one of the reasons that hindered Iraqi national industry, stressing that it worked without any development plan during the last ten years.
He pointed that the social system before 2003 was controlling all economic sectors, including industry, so we had "gigantic" infrastructures for factories and companies all over Iraq.
"But, after 2003, when the economy was transformed into market economy, this move was not clearly calculated and became a mixed economy between the social system and the market economy", he elaborated.
