    MOSCOW (Reuters) - Russian President Vladimir Putin said on Tuesday that his country had information that the United States was planning new missile attacks on Syria and that there were plans for "fake chemical attacks there" to accuse President Bashar al-Assad of carrying them out.
    In a press conference with Italian President Sergio Matarella in Moscow, the Russian president called on the international community to investigate the gas attack in Idlib, which Washington accused the Syrian army of carrying out and hit dozens of missiles at the base of its military capillaries in Homs, That the attack launched from them.
    Putin said the US strikes in Syria reminded him of allegations of weapons of mass destruction in Iraq that US troops invaded Iraq in 2003.
    Putin warned of "provocations" related to chemical weapons in the future in order to implicate Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
    The US president ordered striking the base of the Syrian military capillaries with 59 Tomahawk missiles to deter the Syrian regime from using chemical weapons, according to the US Department of Defense.

    Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the situation in Syria reminds the events of 2003, when the United States began its campaign against Iraq after the word in the Security Council.

    Putin said Tuesday at a news conference  with his Italian counterpart ,  "We have information from different sources that such a provocation, and I can not call it otherwise, is in other parts of Syria, including in the southern suburbs of Damascus , where he planned to again throw materials what charge , the official Syrian authorities use. "

    The Russian president stressed that "the elimination of terrorism, which represents the main threat to global security as possible by working together."

    Putin said, "During the talks, was addressed to the global and regional issues. It was noted that the main threat to global security comes from terrorism, and fight it possible by uniting the efforts of the international community."

    He said Putin that the Western countries which had been harshly criticized US President to Donald Trump during his campaign, is now trying to synthesize a "common enemy" between them and America, represented Syria and Russia, to normalize its relations with Washington.

    Putin said that Russia was prepared to wait until these anti-Russian campaign ends, but at the same time expressed hope that Moscow appears as "a positive attitude towards the cooperation."
