Maliki stresses Iraq’s support for political solution for Syrian crisis

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) The Premier, Nouri al-Maliki, informed the US Ambassador to Iraq, Stephen Beecroft, that Iraq supports the political solution for the Syrian crisis and opposing the military interference.
A statement by Maliki’s office received by IraqiNews.com cited “Maliki received Beecroft at his office and informed him about Iraq’s official stance.”
“Maliki assured that Iraq is worried for the possible critical consequences for military attack against Syria on the region,” the statement continued.
“They tackled the necessity to double the coordination between the two countries,” the statement concluded.
