US cannot confirm Baghdadi's killing

Washington/ Iraq TradeLink: US Defence Secretary James Mattis stated that the United States has no proof of the killing of Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, head of Da'ish (ISIS) organization.
Last week, the Syrian Human Rights Observatory, stationed in Britain, announced having confirmed information on the killing of al-Baghdadi.
But western and Iraqi officials doubted this news.
"If we know, we would have told you now, but I cannot confirm or deny the news. To us, he is still alive till the opposite is proved", he clarified.
The whereabouts of al-Baghdadi is still unknown, but it was thought he was in Mosul before the liberation battle started, but others believe that he is hiding in the desert.
