An official Jordanian newspaper talks about an "imminent decision" to open Trebil

The Jordanian newspaper "Al-Rai", an official Tuesday, an imminent decision will be taken on the opening of the crossing of the road Tripil between Jordan and Iraq.
"An imminent decision will be made on the opening of the Tarebil road crossing," the newspaper said. "The Ministry of Transport and the Land Transport Regulatory Authority are currently working on the preparations and arrangements for opening the crossing."
The newspaper added that "negotiations are underway with the Iraqi side to secure the international road between Baghdad and the Jordanian-Iraqi border at a distance of about 575 kilometers."
In February, Prime Minister Hani al-Mulqi stressed the importance of re-opening the border crossing with Iraq and starting the construction of the oil pipeline between Basra and Aqaba, facilitating the exchange of Jordanian and Iraqi goods to the two countries and customs and administrative procedures.
