Kuwait paves the way for an international conference for the reconstruction of Iraq

Deputy Foreign Minister Khalid Al-Jarallah said that his country has started extensive contacts with the countries of the world, the World Bank and Iraq to host a conference for the reconstruction of Iraq liberated from the control of "Daash."
"There is no date for the conference, but it is likely to be in the first quarter of next year," Al-Jarallah was quoted as saying on the sidelines of an Iraqi embassy ceremony marking the liberation of Mosul.
The Kuwaiti official stressed that his country "stands with Iraq from the beginning and supports it through the international alliance and the bilateral relations that bring together the two brotherly countries."
In response to a question on bilateral relations with Iraq, Al-Jarallah said: "We have understanding, coordination and harmony with the brothers in Iraq, and we are able through this coordination to overcome any problems that may occur."
The Kuwaiti official congratulated the Iraqi people on the victories achieved in Mosul and on the return of this city "to the bosom of Iraq after liberation", praising "the championships that express the hardness and sacrifice of the Iraqi people to reach these results."
